Event — Semicon India, IBM Research
Semicon India is the largest single event for electronics manufacturing in south Asia. IBM Research showcased and demoed their latest work in Quantum, AI, Cloud, fab and packaging.
Role: Creative direction and design
Designed at IBM Research
Optimizing the floor plan
The overall booth was based on IBM’s event system. The biggest challenge was balancing the needs and wants of the researchers with what could realistically be displayed in the space. The initial plan presented, on the left, included more displays and activations than the final design, on the right. Unfortunately, by having so much, it would have be difficult to navigate the booth and demo the tech effectively. It also veered way from the 2x grid which is a main principle in IBM design. After much back and forth we were able to edit and have a floor plan that was much easier to navigate and adhere to IBM’s design guidelines.
On the back of each demo station, facing outward into the walkway were six lightboxes. Each highlighted our semiconductor work in AI and Quantum.
Cases within the booth displayed out latest semiconductor work.
